ARF/5-A-Day Smoothie
Every Tuesday over at Sweetnick's, Cate highlights submissions from different bloggers for dishes that use antioxidant rich foods. I always love to check out what everyone has come up with - go check it out if you have a chance. My submission this week is a quick and easy drinkable breakfast (or snack). You start with all these healthy, yummy things:
and after blending for a little while, you end up with this:

Banana Bliss
(slightly modified from Ultimate Smoothies by Donna Pliner Rodnitzky)
- 1/4 cup apple juice
- 1 teaspoon honey
- dash vanilla extract
- 1 medium banana, sliced
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
- 1 carton strawberry-banana yogurt
Mix all above ingredients in a blender until smooth.


Looks delicious - I'll have to check what frozen fruit I've got on hand.
