First, for all those that celebrate, may this holiday be joyous!
We've been busy the past week getting ready for both Hanukkah and Christmas. Adrienne and I did some baking this past weekend (fudge (in cookie cutter molds), pretzel "cookies", sugar cookies, and chex mix), I made 4 jars of beyond bitter grapefruit marmalade (which I can't give as gifts - ugh, it's really bitter - so I'm going to try to incorporate it into BBQ sauce over the next few weeks), and Adrienne and I have done a little crafting (yeah!).
Adrienne's gifts to her friends are bird nest necklaces (we took the idea from here - awesome!) - they weren't that expensive to make and they came out super cute.
And I decided to start sewing again ... my two projects were owls (pattern here) and gift card holders for those that get gift cards this year (pattern here). There was so much more I wanted to do but I think I'm running out of time. :)
The only other thing I'm hoping to accomplish is this cute fleece hat. Let's see if it can get done! (Oh, and I did get one other thing done but since the recipient reads my blog, it'll have to wait until after Christmas for me to share it!)

Those necklaces are adorable. I think I found something for Megan and I to do tomorrow while the older two are out. Thanks and Happy Holidays!!

I love the owl. I've been seeing lots of cute owl stuff lately. It's hard to find vintage owl stuff so it must still be in demand. I did pick up a large owl vase (packed with silk flowers - umbrella stand size) at Goodwill for $10 last week. It was maked 'Stan and Barb '76' on the bottom.

Thanks, Melanie! Merry Christmas :)
Paula .. I've been seeing a lot of owls lately too - found another pattern for a larger one I want to try today if I can find figure out the fabric for it. That vase is so sweet - I love things like that :)
