I was talking with a friend last week about Cookie Monster. Wouldn't it be great to be satisfied shoving cookies at your face and having all the crumbs fall to the floor? Then you could have as many as you wanted and not worry about it, right? :-) Om, nom, nom, nom.
However, when I learned they usually used rice cakes instead of cookies so they crumble better I felt a little cheated. I want cookie monster to eat cookies! I think these that Adrienne made before Christmas would surely fit the bill.
I'm not sure if they're still available, but we found some cinnamon M&Ms at Target in early December.
They were, um, interesting. I wouldn't eat them by the handful - they had a strange aftertaste that wasn't entirely pleasant. The weird thing is that only the red colored ones had the cinnamon flavor - the brown ones were just that, brown M&Ms. So in deciding what we should do with them I thought, "hey, I bet they'd taste awesome in some cookies". And awesome, they did.
We took a regular oatmeal raisin cookie recipe and substituted the M&Ms for the raisins. I'm sure any recipe you have would work - I am not a fan of raisins so I don't have a "go-to" recipe for them. That recipe just happened to be the first one that came up on Google. So if you ever run across those cinnamon M&Ms, give it a try - you won't be sorry!
